If I could change one thing about thanksgiving

If  I could change one thing about thanksgiving it would be that everything would be more laid back, cause it seems like everything is way more hectic than it should be. I think we should focus more on the important things like family and friends instead of worrying about who brought what and what kind of food we have, because every thanksgiving its aways a big hassle about something retarded. I think we often times forget the real meaning of thanksgiving and what its all about. Even for me its hard to remember what its all about. So basically I wish we would remember to give thanks for every little thing we have, no matter good or bad. Because its not about who has the best food or who wins the football, because its much more important than that or at least it should be.

I just dont have time to do that

The assignment was to make a chart of our weekly schedule that showed  how we consume our time all through out the week.This was to show us what we really spend the most time on.

The things that took up the most time was sleep, chill time, and school.

I was very surprised at how much free time I have. I could not believe at how much time we spend at school, if you think about it that’s were most of our life happens. I still don’t understand how I have that much free time, considering I am at  school or asleep.

I think I will try to spend more of my free time doing something productive, I might try studying or maybe do my chores. I think this will change my life.

fast food is not so fun

Our assingment was to make a chart in excel that listed the facts about diffrent fast food meals. We had to put in the calories, fat calories, non-fat calories, and percentage fat.

A meal that i always get at mcdonalds includes a  big mack, large drink, large fries. It had 1390 calories, 530 fat calories, 860 non-fat calories, and 38% percentage fat.

Yes, i was very surprised at the results. It showed me that i needed to pay more attention to what i ate and how much i eat of it.

These results will not affect my life at all. While the calorie intake is high i still enjoy the food and i am not in a time in my life in which i want to watch what i eat.

08 Porsche Cayenne

The first set of keys we grabbed at Porsche’s press preview put us behind the wheel of a fully loaded Cayenne Turbo. Although the next-generation Cayenne just went on sale as a 2008 model, there’s still plenty that’s familiar. Much of the chassis, suspension technology, and interior layout offer little change, and the wheelbase and track width are identical to the former model’s. Yet there are a few important differences; in fact, Porsche engineers have injected some exciting technology under the skin and hood.

A little joke

A very successful lawyer parked his brand-new Lexus in front of his office, ready to show it off to his colleagues. As he got out, a truck passed too close and completely tore the door off of the driver’s side. The counselor immediately grabbed his cell phone, dialed 911, and within minutes a policeman pulled up.Before the officer had a chance to ask any questions, the lawyer started screaming hysterically. His Lexus, which he had just picked up the day before, was now completely ruined and would never be the same, no matter what the body shop did to it.

When the lawyer finally wound down from his ranting and raving, the officer shook his head in disgust and disbelief.

“I can’t believe how materialistic you lawyers are,” he said. “You are so focused on your possessions that you don’t notice anything else.”

“How can you say such a thing?” asked the lawyer.

The cop replied, “Don’t you know that your left arm is missing from the elbow down? It must have been torn off when the truck hit you.”

“Ahhh!” screamed the lawyer. “Where’s my Rolex!”

“The Worldview”

The definition of a world view is set of basic beliefs we have, whether we know it or not, that determine our view of and for the world.It is important to have a world view so you can have guide lines to live your life by and its also important to have the correct world view such as being a christian. I had never really paid much attention to all the other world views that surround us and we don’t even know it, its really pretty shocking. For example some of the music I listen to did not support a christian world view. I did learn the having a biblical world should shape the way we do everything. I think the worldview presentation  showed me that often times our worldview was far from the biblical worldview that we should have.
