lexus Lf-a
Toyota is back at the Nurburgring testing its long-awaited LF-A supercar. I most say this is one nice looking car. Toyota is also working on the front end aero package — note the tabs on each corner, and the slight more aggressive profile of the front airdam.
The appearance of this car is interesting, as it suggests Toyota is still not entirely sure of how to position the LF-A.Price here in the U.S. is likely to be in the $120,000 to $150,000 range.Toyota has reverted to the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V-10 powerplant and rear drive for the regular LF-A. Transmission is said to be a version of the worked eight speed automatic with fast torque converter lockup used in the Lexus If-s.
Benz CL550
Okay, admittedly the graceful coupe is not aimed at plutocratic off-roaders, but the engineers on hand at its launch proudly recalled an instance while mountain testing when they encountered a team of fellow development engineers shaking down a proper off-roader. Upon hiking the AIRMATIC suspenders up to tippy-toe mode, their graceful and gorgeous coupe managed to tackle a trail that impressed the truckers.Changes to the car include substitution of the less expensive AIRMATIC suspension for Active Body Control (which is said to be incompatible with 4Matic). This helped trim the price sufficiently to make 4Matic standard on all CL550 models with no substantial price increase, and they’re throwing in heated and cooled front seats and keyless-go for free (a $1960 value!). The rest of the CL lineup sticks with rear-drive. The engine specs are:5.5L/382-hp/391-lb-ft DOHC 32-valve V-8, which equals allot of power.
2010 camaro
The black Camaro in question features red Brembo calipers, and what looks to be slightly lower stance, but otherwise it looks about the same as the dozens of other prototype Camaro sightings in recent months, save recent photos of the rumored SS variant that is reportedly in the pipeline. The V-8 powered Camaro is expected to pack somewhere around 400 horsepower. I personaly would love to own one of the simpily because I am a big fan of camaro.
2010 mustang
The word on the street is tha tFord is seriously contemplating fitting the new twin turbo EcoBoost V-6 to the 2010 Mustang. As they try to figure out how to meet 35mpg CAFE by 2020, Ford engineers are wondering whether the V-8 has a long term future. The EcoBoost engine, which is currently scheduled to debut in a performance version of the Fusion, could be the more fuel efficient alternative for Mustang in the long term. Depending on spec, the EcoBoost is capable of up to at least 415hp, and has the torque to match a regular v-8.
Got Gas?
Gas is the highest I have ever seen it, just a few weeks ago it was well over 3 dollars a gallon. I read somewhere the other day gas is expected to be over 4 dollars a gallon this summer which is retarded and I don’t understand how or why it is that high. I think everybody should quit driving for about one month and see if gas prices fall, but that would be near impossible to get everybody to do it. Just a thought.
Spring Break 08
That was the probably the best spring break I have ever had. Most of what I did was hang out with nick and his sister. I also went to the YMCA alot. I most say I’m getting pretty friggen good at 21.
I did learn not to act bored in front of your parents or thay will make you do something which usually involves work. Although I had to clean most of the house, I guess it could had been worse. I tried allot of new things over spring break.
I did dread having to come back to school. But I guess it wont be that bad considering we only have seven more weeks of school. Its kind of hard to enjoy spring break to much because you know you have to come back to school in a few days.
I most say over all it was probably the best spring breaks I have ever had. And it was awesome being able to sleep in. So that’s pretty much the summery of my spring break of 08.
My dream car
My dream car is got to be a Porsche 911 turbo. How many people do you know that are in high school and drive a 911. Porsche is got to be one of the best cars ever made. I know I probably wont get one , but its always nice to dream.
“Plans for spring brake”
Well, I plan to have a lot of fun on spring brake. First thing I will probably do is go to the YMCA everyday and workout with some friends. Than I hope to get to go to NC and see some family and then go down to myrtle beach and hang out.
My family is adding a room to our house so I will probably be made to help them (what a joy) and I most likely will have to help baby sit. Than I’m going to sleep a lot and then some more.
Benz
At the Geneva auto show, Mercedes-Benz officials were stressing the company’s green aspirations ad nauseam—and then rolled out the latest AMG model, the 518-hp SL63 AMG. With a 6.2-liter V-8 engine underhood, this car is about as green as your average logging company.
The SL63 replaces the SL55 AMG, which was powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter V-8 that produced a mere 510 horsepower. The new car features face-lifted styling and interior revisions, plus a modified version of the company’s seven-speed transmission.
The SL63 certainly looks the part. The exterior changes that have been applied to all SL models make the car look more contemporary. The SL63 adds an aggressive front fascia and side skirts to signal its more sporting mien, plus standard 19-inch wheels and tires. Inside, there’s a special AMG steering wheel, gauge cluster, and shift lever to accompany other SL revisions that include an iPod interface and a Bluetooth phone hookup that both work pretty seamlessly.
